Meet Information
Note updated schedule - start time moved back to 5:45pm.
Due to construction at the church, the course has been modified and will be approximately 3km this year.
Please plan to enter your athletes by 7:00pm on Tuesday, Aug. 25, so we have time to put together race packets. It does not matter whether athletes are entered in the varsity or JV races, as long as they are in the meet. You may make any changes between races you want on race day.
Sixth annual running of our huge hit Chase Race - a cross country event with unique team format, wave starts with one runner per team in each wave.
- 3-km cross country course - Very spectator-friendly all-grass course, with one challenging hill
- CORRECTED SCHEDULE JV boys all together as soon after 5:30pm as we are able to start; JV girls will follow right after last JV boys finish. Please run any girls who will not finish 3k in under 20 minutes or boys who will not finish in under 16 minutes in the JV race.
- Varsity boys about 6:25, girls at 6:45
- In varsity races - 7th runners start first, followed 20 seconds later by 6th runners, another 20 seconds later by 5th runners, and so on until 1st runners start 2:00 behind the 7th runners. Top runners will have people to chase throughout the race.
- Actual (net) run-times will be taken for all runners in the varsity races.
Please contact Coach Honea at david.honea@bcsemail.org if you are interested in competing. We have added a password to be sure we don't add more teams than we can accommodate. We plan to limit the varsity race to 12 teams.
Entry fee: $40 per school. (Note: Maximum entry fee per school for the 2026 XC season is $70 - if you run more than two meets the additional meets are free.) Make checks payable to A.C. Reynolds High School.
