Spectator Information
Admission is $5 per person. This fee directly supports the West Wilkes track program.
Please remind parents and guests to use the designated entrance.
Spectators must remain outside the track area at all times.
Bleachers are located up the hill from the throwing area (for shot put, discus, etc.) and near the concession stand (for high jump and long jump viewing).
Athlete Expectations
Our middle school conference follows NCHSAA High School Track and Field rules.
Athletes must:
Remain in their designated team area unless actively warming up or competing.
Return promptly to their team area after completing their event.
Stay out of the infield and inside the track except when officially competing or warming up. Gathering, cheering, or standing inside the track is prohibited.
Coaches:
If you need to speak with your athletes and you are not actively helping with the timing of the meet, please do not gather in the infield with your teams. We have designated team areas for a reason. This is a safety issue.
Important:
Willful failure to follow directions from meet officials (including leaving the infield when instructed) will result in disqualification per NFHS Rule 4-6, Article 2. This rule is strictly enforced.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us run a smooth, safe, and enjoyable meet!
