Meet Information
I had to make changes to our traditional 5k course, that we have been using. The bridge area, is maintained by the city of Knightdale, and there are some areas that I don't trust if multiple athletes are running over. So below is the new course. It is a mixture of our 3K and 5K course.
We will start the back triangles of the last leg of the 4x100 meter relay exchange. So about 300+ meter around the track. Go up the concrete path outside the the concessions area, and will make a left (this is different from the previous 5k were we went right). You will go along the outside of the home side of the track and up along the practice field, you will make a right hand turn and along the sidewalk of the back of the school along the parking lot, you will follow this up to a pathway and make a left and travel along the sidewalk that winds around the front of the school. Past the flag pole, and into the nature trail. Make a left turn and follow the road that that goes into the cul-a-sac and then through the bus loop and into the emergency road by the trailer, with the outside basketball court to your left and then between the school and tennis courts, back down along the practice field and make a left and through the entire back-end of the parking lot and you will turn left prior to getting to the natural trail (where the bridge was). Then will you will follow the same loop, and you will do this loop twice, and on the second time you will complete the opposite of what you did to get out of the track and finish back where you started.
