Overview
Location: Ballantyne Ridge High School, 4004 Toringdon Way, Charlotte, NC 28277
Meet was moved to B.R. High School due to some unfinished work at Ardrey Kell's track for the amount of teams participating this year. B.R. High School is less than 2 miles from Ardrey Kell straight down North Community House Rd.
Coaches, this is our 3rd annual Need 4 Speed Invitational. Last year was a burner of a meet with teams from
all over the east coast and the best speed in NC. We had boys running 10.5 in the 100 and girls running 11.8's. We also had sub 50 boys and sub 60 girls (55 won it) running the 400. This level of competition serves as an excellent tune up prior to conference championships. Annually this event is scheduled in concurrence with the Distance Carnivals, in Matthews, NC just 10 minutes from AK, so that the top sprinters in NC, SC GA, VA and TENN can compete in one location in the spring. We invite you to join us this year for a star studded competitive meet. We will contest only 100M, 200M, 400M, 800M, 100H, 110H, 300H, 4x100, 4x200, 4x400, and 4x800 and all high school field events except javelin.

Entry FeeThe total entry fee will be $100.00 per team, or $175.00 for both genders, unattached or individual entry fee is $30.00 for up to 4 events. Tents
No tents will be allowed in the home side bleachers. However, you may pitch your tents anywhere inside the stadium as long as there is no interference with field events. If you are unsure, just ask an adult wearing purple AK gear.
Bus Parking
From Community House Road, turn in to the school and take the first exit at the round-about. Follow the road to the staff parking lot. The entrance is very close to bus parking. See map below:
