Update - 3200 sections:  The boys 3200 unseeded section will be at 9:15am, and will include all athletes with seed times over 11:00 or with no seed time.  All girls will run in a single section at 9:30am.  The boys seeded sections, with all athletes with seed times under 11:00, will run immediately after the girls.

The Blue Ridge Classic welcomes you to the A.C. Reynolds HS track with its 24th edition on April 18, 2026.  We look forward of seeing everyone at our great facility with the same high standard of hospitality and competition we always have. 
The Blue Ridge Classic has earned a well-deserved reputation as one of the best run and most competitive meets in the south, including ALL-TIME NC BESTS in the 4x200 and pole vault in 2023!  As always, this will be a great prep meet for regionals and state championships, with prelims in the straightaway races, and qualifying and finals for the field events.

SANCTION: The Blue Ridge Classic is sanctioned for North Carolina and all bordering states (SC, TN, VA, GA).

MEET SCHEDULE (tentative - will be finalized after close of entries)
9:15 AM - Boys unseeded 3200 section
9:30 AM - 3200 ELITE SECTIONS - Girls followed by boys
10:00am - field events: long jump, girls PV, girls HJ, girls SP, boys discus
10:00am - prelims: 110m & 100m hurdles, 100 meters
11:15 - 4x800
Noon - MIDDLE SCHOOL EVENTS: 100m, mile, & shot put
1:00pm - running event finals
1:00pm - field events: triple jump, boys PV, boys HJ, boys SP, girls discus

ENTRY FEE: $100 per single gender team, $175 for both male & female teams together, or $10.00 per individual event.  No unattached athletes may enter the meet. An athlete must be entered as a member of a high school team, and eligible for HS competition according to their state sanctioning body. Athletes who first entered ninth-grade prior to July 1, 2022 are not eligible to compete regardless of current scholastic status.
ENTRY STANDARDS:  Schools are guaranteed one team per relay and two athletes per individual event.  There is no entry standard for these entries.  If the first two athletes meet the standards below (based on lifetime best, outdoors or indoors), the school may enter a third athlete in that event who is not required to meet the entry standard.

Famous Hospitality: Known also for its extraordinary coaches hospitality, breakfast and lunch for coaches at the BRC is provided by over 15 local restaurants, including Asheville's nationally famous BBQ restaurant 12 Bones Smokehouse, Outback Steakhouse and Bojangles.
