Meet Information
The QuadCo Relay is a unique event in which Co-Ed relay teams (2 boys and 2 girls, each running 2.5K) compete against each other over a flat and fast course. Schools may enter as many relay teams as they would like. PLEASE BRING BATONS FOR YOUR TEAMS.
An individual race is offered for those not placed on a relay team.
WE ARE GOING UNDER THE LIGHTS AGAIN IN 2025!!! OUR COURSE RUNS AROUND THE SOFTBALL/BASEBALL COMPLEX AND WE UTILIZE THOSE FIELD LIGHTS AND STRATEGICALLY PLACED LIGHT TOWERS. WE ARE EXCITED TO OFFER A VERY UNIQUE CROSS-COUNTRY EVENT.
COURSE
1.25K loop around and through the Softball/Baseball Complex (obviously run twice for the
2.5K races and relay legs) Flat and Fast, 90 percent grass with the remaining 10 percent rock dust.
Spectator friendly.
PARKING
The big parking lot in front of the school (Busses may drop students off at the BB/SB field area &
then park).
TEAM TENTS
Please set up in the outfield of the softball field.
Registration
Registration opens first week of August. We do not necessarily need individuals' names on the relay teams. We just need the number of relay teams you plan to run.
Simply email Coach Rhoney (email address below) by September 6 to declare your intention of competing and declare your intended number of relay teams. This helps us with planning. You will be able to change the number of relay teams and who runs on which relay team on meet day.
We also DO NOT need the names of runners who will be running in the individual race as we expect only a few runners in that race and will be using a card system.
Entry Fees
High School - $90, covers both men and women's High School teams, unlimited entries. If you have less than 18 athletes, it is $5 per person.
Middle School - $5 per runner
Cash or Check Only. Checks should be made out to West Cabarrus High School.
- DO NOT MAKE THE CHECK OUT TO THE BOOSTER CLUB
- No fee adjustments after registration closes - If you register 4 relay teams and 2 Individuals (18
runners)which equals $90 but then you end up on race day only running 3 relay teams and 2 individuals,
(14 individuals) you still must pay the $90

Middle School Race Details
We are excited to offer a middle school race (2.5K). This race is for individuals and is Co-Ed. The middle school race is not a Relay. The Middle School race is $5 per individual. Cash or Check Only. Again, checks may be mailed to the address above or brought on meet day.
Time Schedule
6:30 PM - Coaches Meeting
7:00 PM - Middle School CO-Ed Individual 2.5K Race
7:25 PM - Individual CO-Ed High School Race (2.5 K) (High Schoolers NOT on relay teams)
7:45 PM - QuadCo Relay High School 4 X 2.5K Women run 1st and 3rd; Men run 2nd and 4th
8:30-ish - High School Awards
Awards
High School - Medals to the top 1/5 of QuadCo Relay Teams (For example, 25 relay teams, = top 5 relay teams get medals)
Middle School - Medals to the Top 3 for each gender
Notes
