Meet Information
The 16th Annual River Run Cross Country Invitational will be held at Fisher River Park in Dobson, NC on Friday evening, August 22, 2025. This meet will be ran in the twilight and course a Fisher River Park will be lit up with lights for a late evening invitational.
The River Run Cross Country Invitational has been a staple on the North Carolina cross country schedule since 2006, with many teams from the Piedmont-Triad and Northwest North Carolina attending each year.
Fisher River Park is just a 45 minute drive from Winston-Salem and an hour and half drive from Charlotte. It is easily accessible from Highway 52 N / 74 West and I-77.
The 5K course is a great spectator course consisting of two 1 1/2 mile loops. The course is grass and granite dust, with rolling hills. The new course is expected to be comparable to the Ivey Redmon Sports Complex Course. The park also has a middle school 2 mile course. See course map below.
The meet will consist of a boys and girls 2 mile elementary / middle school race and a boys and girls high school races. The entry fee is $100 per high school and $75 per middle school. If your school has both a middle and high school team the entry fee is $150. Unattached athletes are welcome and schools with less than five athletes pay $10 per individual athlete. Team awards will go to the top two teams in each race. Individual awards go to the top 10 in each race.
Coaches will register their team and enter their athletes through the ncmilesplit registration system Entry deadline is Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 9:00 pm.
