ABOUT KATHY MCMILLAN
Kathy McMillan, a native of Raeford (Hoke County), is a former Olympian who won a silver medal in the Women's Long Jump in 1976 Olympics in Montreal. She has also won multiple state titles and AAU championships while in high school. She still holds the all-time long jump record in North Carolina (22'3") set in 1976.
McMillan attended Tennessee State and was inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame. She has also been inducted to the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame and the National Track and Field Hall of Fame. To read more about Kathy McMillan, click here.
