Online Registration Instructions
A great season opener for experienced and new runners alike!
The Grizzly Growler is run over the two(2) mile cross country course at Ivey Redmon in Kernersville -- fairly flat & fairly fast.
All races will be run by grade-level. So, freshmen will only be racing other freshmen, sophomores will race sophomores, and so forth.
Each grade level will have a team score based on the top three(3) athletes from a given team in that race in that grade-level. Tie breaks will be made by the team's fourth(4th) runner in that grade-level race.
There will be individual medals for the top three in the grade level races.
Overall team awards will be determined by each school's number one runner from each grade level. This allows underclassmen, who may or may not have an influence over team results, to have the opportunity. For example, if a school has a freshman finish 3rd in that race, as sophomore finish 7th, a junior finish 1st, and a senior finish 8th, the team score would be 19. Tie breaks will be determined by the second senior of a given team. In theory a school could walk away with a team score of four(4).
Entry fees:
Single gender team -- $60.00
School bringing boys and girls -- $100.00
Individuals -- $20.00
There will be not team walkthroughs. It's a fairly simple & straightforward course:

8:00 -- Coaches' Meeting
8:30 -- 9th & 10th grade guys
8:55 -- 9th & 10th grade girls
9:20 -- 11th & 12th grade guys
9:45 -- 11th & 12th grade girls
10:10 -- awards
10:30 -- Out and onward to lunch and safe travels!!
