THE BLUE RIDGE CLASSIC - WNC's Elite Meet!
The Blue Ridge Classic returns with its 18th edition on April 23, 2022.
Held on the campus of AC Reynolds HS surrounded by beautiful mountains, The Blue Ridge Classic has earned a well-deserved reputation as one of the best run and most competitive meets in the south, offering superior support for athletes and coaches including staging and venue tents for athlete comfort, trainer and medical support by Pardee Sports Medicine, modern bathroom facilities, and an onsite track & field store.
MEET SCHEDULE (updated after close of entries)
10:00 am: 3200 meters (boys unseeded section followed by girls & boys seeded sections)
10:00 am: Boys discus, girls shot put, boys long jump, girls triple jump, girls high jump, girls pole vault
10:40 am: Prelims - 100m hurdles, 110m hurdles, 100 meters
11:30am: 4x800 relay
Noon: Lunch break
12:30 pm: Running finals begin (Final schedule published after entries close)
12:45 pm: Girls discus, boys shot put, girls long jump, boys triple jump, boys high jump, boys pole vault
Famous Hospitality: Known also for its extraordinary coaches hospitality, breakfast and lunch for coaches at the BRC is provided by over 15 local restaurants, including Asheville's nationally famous BBQ restaurant 12 Bones Smokehouse, Outback Steakhouse and Bojangles.
ENTRY FEE: $100 per single gender team, $150 for both male & female teams together, or $10.00 per individual event. No unattached athletes may enter the meet. An athlete must be entered as a member of a high school team, and eligible for HS competition according to their state sanctioning body. Athletes who first entered ninth-grade prior to July 1, 2018 are not eligible to compete regardless of current scholastic status.

BLUE RIDGE CLASSIC MIDDLE SCHOOL EVENTS. The middle school events will not be held in 2022. They will return for 2023.
