Norfolk Academy has made regular appearances at the Outer Banks cross country invitational over the years and traditionally faired very well in the event with several team victories, but this year another Virginia school showed up to steal the show as the Albemarle boys and girls came down to the North Carolina beaches for some fun and sun in a cross country run. The Patriots swept the first place finishes for both team and individuals. Luke Noble (pictured left by David Fleenor) zipped through the fast and flat 5K course at Manteo High School in a winning time of 15:52.8, which was a considerable personal best for Albemarle's top runner.
