Exchange Zones

Exchange 1- 1.1 miles. The 1.8k post just past the fitness equipment.

Exchange 2- 2.1 miles. The 3.4k post just before the soccer field in the back mile.

So, the 3 legs run 1.1 miles, 1 mile, 1 mile.

At the finish (IMPORTANT)

We will usher athletes into the chute as they finish. The final runner needs to give two pieces ofinformationto our finish line clerks.

1) School Name (ex. Providence Day)

2) Some part of their creative team name (ex. Having MILES of Fun)

What I need from you . . .

First, please just email me back and let me know if your team is attending. Then email with your creative team names. Honestly, I don't need the athletes names, as I'm only including the school name & creative name in the results. Thanks!

Seelast year's resultsfor examples.

Donating shoes again!

We will collect shoes once again as we have the last 2 years. Please encourage your parents & athletes to bring ANY gently used or new shoes to the race for our donation. The shoes will be donated in the memory of Coach GilMurdock. I will have boxes near the finish line for collection just like last year.

FAQ:

Can I run 2 athletes as a team? Or 1?

You can. Extra athletes that can't make another team can simply run the 1st leg. If you have 2, they may handoff and stop at the 2nd exchange. Teams have also had someone run 2 miles before instead of 1. (It would be 2.1 if you choose this)

Can I mix genders?

No. Please have them run in their correct race.

Do we use a baton?

No, we will have PDS coaches at each exchange zone. All we need is slapping of hands.
