Coaching Assignments for Field Events:
Long Jump - Cramerton
High Jump - Chavis
Discuss - Stanley
Shot Put - Grier
One coach is required at field event and a student athlete from FVHS/CMS will be provided to you for assistance.
Timing Events - Will need one coach at the timing area to assist. Timers will be assigned a lane for the sprinting races. We will provide a judge there to determine place of finish if needed.
We will also have at the side of the finish line an area blocked off just for timers and officials. At the opposite side of the blocked off area will be the check in table/tent. We will provide someone to check in the athletes, our clerk will be responsible for staging athletes, and another staff member updated results. We will be gathering results and will try to announce results as meet goes along with results shortly after the 4x400 relay.
We will use milesplit.com for meet registration. Please have your roster entered by April 15, 2019 6pm. I am asking for these by Monday evening because it will give us time look at the seeding for lanes, if CMS needs to gather more meet volunteers, and give staff and I extra time to be ready for Wednesday to run smooth. Try to provide accurate times when entering your athletes.
Order of events are as followed:
Exhibition 400
110 Hurdles
100 Meter Dash
1600 Meter Run
4x100 Relay
400 Meter Dash
800 Meter Run
200 Meter Dash
4x400 Relay
Points will will be the standard 6, 4, 3, 2, and 1. Top 5 individually and top 3 for relays.
Remember we are all seating on the home field of the stadium and there are no parents allowed on the track during field events. Spectators can watch from outside of the fence or at the end of the long jump pit. Please remember to clean up after the meet is over.
