McDowell High School welcomes all teams to its campus for a thrilling 5k that will challenge all facets of running.
The course will be two 1.5 mile loops and 300 ft gain/loss. Each loop has a .3mile climb on a sinlge track trail that gains 130ft. The footing of the trail is solid and very runable with well marked with paint, signs, and flags.Surfaces include 1/3 technical single track ascents, 1/3 lighting fast road/gravel downhills, and 1/3 flat grassy trail. Spikes are not recommended and flats might be too thin for some of the roots, rocks, and downhill pounding. McDowell runners will be in daily trainers.
One boys race starting at 5:00pm. One girls race starting at 5:40pm.
Awards for top 15 boys and girls.
