Polk County High School will again host the Wolverine Co-Ed Classic on March 10, 2017, beginning at 4:00pm. If you have questions, contact me at 828.817.1594, or silverfishltd@windstream.net.
Awards will be presented. FAT will be utilized and results will be submitted to MileSplit/NCRunners.
Individuals and Relays will be entered through MileSplit/NCRunners. The deadline for entries to be submitted is March 9, 2016, at 8:00am. Entries after that time will be assessed a $25 late registration fee.
North Carolina state standards of no more than four events for an athlete will be followed. We are allowing 4 athletes per school in an individual event, and 2 relay teams. Only the top 3 for a school, and 1 relay, will be eligible for scoring purposes.
There will be a coaches meeting at 3:30 to discuss meet issues, but any scratches or changes must be submitted to sharding@polkschools.org by 6:00pm on Thursday, March 9. A Hospitality Room will be available for the coaches and workers.
NCHSAA/NFHS rules will be enforced. Please review the rules regarding uniforms and electronic devices with your athletes.
Running events will be timed finals. The throws and horizontal jumps will have 3 attempts and carry 9 to finals.
Tents will not be allowed inside the track. Tents should not be placed below the second row from the top of the home bleachers. Boom boxes or stereos will not be allowed inside the stadium.
Admission to the meet is $6.00. A concession stand will be available.
Sincerely,
J. Alan Peoples
