Coahces,
First of all, I would like to thank you for adding the FCA/Goforth Invitational to your schedule! Madison is excited to host this meet once again. Last years meet went very well and teams were pleased with our facilities and our beautiful setting. I hope you all have success and that you enjoy this meet as much as we enjoy hosting. In this letter you will find information on starting times, awards, facilities, entry fees, and meet registration. Attached to this letter, you will find a campus map of Madison High School, as well as a map that covers where teams are allowed to set up tents.
This year, as in the past, we will begin field events at 3:30 PM. While running events will begin at 4:00 PM (starting with the 4x800 relay). We will run the meet on a rolling schedule, due to the fact that the meet is run on a weekday. Just like last year we will award ribbons to the top 6 in each event, award an outstanding athlete for both genders (Field, Track, and Overall), and we will also award the top 2 teams for each gender. What will make this meet different than in years past, we will offer full concessions. We have brand new standards for Pole Vault. Our discus area will be in a more suitable area. Finally, we have hired Big Kahuna Timing to run our meet using their Fully Automatic Timing system. All that we ask with this is that each team will provide one coach to help with field events and exchange zones (a duty list for coaches will be sent out the week of the meet). With that, please send me your teams top 3 preferences of field events to work, otherwise I will choose for you.
Remember, there is a $60.00 entry fee for schools bringing both gender teams, $30.00 for schools with a single gender team, and $5.00 per individual athlete. Bring money to the concessions the day of the meet, and please make checks out to MHS Track. This will help cover the cost of F.A.T. at our meet. Our awards will be provided by a generous donor and friend of MHS Track & Field. Teams are allowed 3 entries per individual event and 1 team per relay event. Registration is now open on MileSplit, you can register your team by following this link, http://fcagoforthinvitational.milesplit.com/ . All entries must be received by 11:59 PM, Sunday, April 10!
Below is our order of events, including field events. We will run open pits on jumps until 6:00 PM, if necessary. For Vertical Jumps we will set opening heights based upon entries received. There will be a dedicated pit for both the Girls and Boys in the Horizontal Jumps.

These used shoes will be donated to the Nike Grind and Nike Reuse-A-Shoe Program, which helps to build playgrounds out of recycled shoes. Please encourage your athletes and fans to donate! For every pair of shoes an individual donates, their name will be entered into a raffle with tons of prizes! Winners will be announced towards the end of the meet.
