Meet Information
The night relays return to Wilson for the third running. A 4x2500M relay under the lights! This relay format promotes a fun team oriented atmosphere. The race will be run on our home course that will be modified specifically for this event. The course is mostly grass around finely manicured soccer fields and is quite spectator friendly. Each runner will run a 2500M loop before handing off a "baton" to their teammate. Each school may enter a men's and women's "A", "B" and "C" teams ("A" team should be your top four runners. "B" should be your 5-8 runners, "C" should be your 9-12 runners). Any additional runners on your team can compete in the open 2500M Developmental races. Coaches and parents are invited to participate in the 2500M Community Race that will kick off the festivities! Come early and join the fun!! Both genders 4x2500M relays will be held under the lights. The field will be capped at 40 teams! The first 40 teams to submit payment will be guaranteed entry into the race. You may submit payment early. Once I receive notice of your interest, I will send you an entry form.
T-shirts and concession stand will be available for purchases.
Trophies will be awarded to the top two men's and women's "A" relay teams. Medals to the top three men's and women's "B" "C" relay teams. The top 15 finishers in the Developmental and Community races will receive medals.
NEW for 2014: There will be the PROGRAM CUP awarded to the team that has the best overall finishes in the Community, Developmental and Relay races. All races will be included - exact calculation still in work.
SCHEDULE: 6:30PM - Coaches Meeting. 7:00PM - Community Race. 7:30PM - Developmental Girl's Race. 8:00 PM - Developmental Boy's Race. 8:30PM - Girl's A, B &C Championship Relay Race. 9:30PM - Boy's A, B & C Championship Relay Race. 10:30PM - Awards Ceremony. ENTRY FEES: $5 for Community Race. $40 for single gender teams or $80 for both genders, all are unlimited entries. Checks should be made payable to the Fike Athletic Booster Club. Entry deadline is Sunday, August 20 at 7PM. There will be a $5 per car charge for parking.
