Meet Information
The Third Annual Southeast Falcons Invitational Relays will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Southeast Guilford High School in Greensboro, NC. The meet was rescheduled from March 8 due to an ice storm that led to massive power outages in the area.The MEET BEGINS AT 11:00 AM. The meet is designed to provide great early season competition in a relay format without preliminaries. The entry fee for Men's and Women's Team will be $80.00 or $45.00 for one team. Individual athlete entry will be $12.00 per athlete up to a maximum of three from the same school. After that the one team rate applies. All field events will be contested and scored individually for team points. Each school can enter a maximum of three athletes in the field events. In the throws and horizontal jumps there will be four attempts, no finals. The running events will be the Premier 1600 Meter Run, Premier 100/110 Meter High Hurdles, and the Premier 100 Meter Dash. All Premier Events are Timed Finals. Each school can enter one athlete (preferably your fastest) in each of these events.
You may also submit a second entry that will be used if a school does not enter an athlete. We will fill the event to the maximum number of teams entered, if there are a sufficient number of entries in those events.
Send me an email if you have a second entry, with their times, in case some schools do not enter an athlete in the premier races (1600, 100/110 Meter High Hurdles and 100 Meter Dash). Also, email me your B and/or C team times. The entry program from milesplit is defaulted to accept only one relay team.
Contested relays will the 4 x 800, 4 x 200, 4 x 100, 4 x 400, Shuttle Hurdle Relay, Distance Medley Relay, and Sprint Medley Relay. B and C teams will be permitted as long as we do not have to run more than three heats (18 teams) and those teams can score. We will also run the Weight Men and Weight Women Relay as a demonstration event for medals, BUT NO TEAM POINTS.
We are limiting the meet to 18 TEAMS/SCHOOLS. If you would like to participate in the Third Annual Southeast Falcons Invitational Relays, please contact Coach Alton E. If you have not run a meet before the entry deadline, submit your best time, if you ran the event indoors, or a reasonable time based on the athlete's previous experience or ability.
School checks and cashier's checks/money orders should be made out to Southeast Athletic Boosters and may be mailed to Southeast Guilford High School, 4530 Southeast School Road, Greensboro, NC 27406. Please put to my attention (Alton Tyre) if you choose to mail it. Race day payments will be accepted in the form of cash, school checks, or cashier's checks/money orders. Please make school or cashier's checks/money orders to Southeast Athletic Boosters. NO PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR MAIL IN OR RACE DAY PAYMENTS.
