ATLANTA – June 4, 2015 – Atlanta Track Club honored 46 of the best runners, jumpers and throwers in metro Atlanta at the All-Metro Track and Field Awards Banquet on Wednesday, June 3 at the College Football Hall of Fame. Each year, Atlanta Track Club hosts the All-Metro Awards Banquet as part of its commitment to recognize outstanding high school track and field and cross country athletes.
The Florida High School Athletics Association (FHSAA) cross country championship returns to Leon County’s Apalachee Regional Park for the next two years.
Atlanta Track Club Presents 'WINGFOOT HIGH SCHOOL ALL-STAR MILE' at Emory University Tuesday evening scheduled for 8:20pm. This special event is part of the very large All-Comers meet.

The National Scholastic Athletics Foundation is an organization dedicated to the support of junior age (sub-20) and high school track and field. Aside from offering support to the USATF Junior Track and Field and selected high school track and field meets, we own and operate the NB Indoor Nationals, the New Balance Outdoor Nationals, and the Great American Cross Country Festival. On December 3, 2014 at the College Football Hall of Fame, Atlanta Track Club will present the 42 deserving scholastic student-athletes, 21 boys and 21 girls, to be named to the First, Second or Third All-Metro Cross Country Teams. Each of the All-Metro athletes will be recognized for their extraordinary seasons at the All-Metro Banquet and First Team All-Metro honorees will receive a $500 scholarship from Atlanta Track Club. Also honored that evening will be the All-Metro Women’s and Men’s coaches whose teams won State Championship titles, and four individual awards for Outstanding Male/Female State Cross-Country Athlete and Outstanding Dedication Award for the Male/Female Cross-Country Coach. This year’s banquet will feature an inspiring keynote speaker, the fastest marathoner in U.S. History, Ryan Hall. Hall will speak to the young athletes about his experiences running in high school, college and at the Olympics.

The 42 honorees were chosen based on an updated, calculated, ranking system and now coaches, parents, media and the general public will vote to determine their place on the three teams. Only one vote is allowed per person.You will be ranking the list of 42 athletes and determining their placement on the First, Second or Third All-Metro Cross Country Teams. Coaches' votes will equal 80% of an athlete's total score. Public votes will equal 20% of an athlete's total score. The Atlanta Track Club Foundation will be granting a $2,500 college scholarship to a female Metro Atlanta High School Senior graduating in 2015. The scholarship is in memory of Patty Foell. Nominations can only be made by High School Coaches.

Georgia now has a professional Track and Field team! We wanted to update you on a project that has been many years in the making: the Georgia Track Club.We want Georgia to know that we now have a Pro track team for them to cheer for and follow. New professional Track team features 8 Olympic medalists and other elite Georgia athletes including Terrance Trammell, Angelo Taylor, Chaunte Lowe, Deedee Trotter, Reese Hoffa, Aries Merritt, Christian Taylor and Jarryd Wallace.
