Week 7 is the biggest week of the regular cross country season in North Carolina, as teams from around the Southeast and beyond visit the Old North State to race. The National Scholastic Sports Foundation will host the Great American Cross Country Festival on Friday and Saturday at WakeMed Park in Cary, while a veteran crew of Charlotte-area coaches will be on hand to run the state's premier meet, the Wendy's Invitational. And they're not the only significant meets! It's not just the weekend, either, as Tuesday has three unusually large weekday meets scheduled. Take a look at what's in store this week:
Tuesday, September 27th
ACA Invitational
Asheville Christian hosts 17 teams on their home course.
Bunker Hill Pre-Regional Meet
Murray's Mill is the course for this meet, and also for the 2A West Regional.
Carolina 12 Invitational
Several of the best 1A and 2A teams in the state start jockeying for post-season position at Northwood.
