Story of the Meet: the Battle for the Team Title!  As contender after contender fell by the wayside, first Kings Mountain staked an unexpected claim to the title, then Walter Williams took the lead.  Douglas Byrd made their charge starting with the 400, and entered the 4x400 down 8 points to Williams.  They won the 4x4 and leapfrogged into first, winning by a single point!  It's always great when the meet comes down to the wire, and it's great to see unexpected title contenders like Kings Mountain and Williams rise above expectations on the big day!
