It's been a strong season for some of the Tar Heel State's brightest young stars and their talents were on full display over the last few days, which featured a massive day for some of the state's best at the NCRunners MS All-State Meet.

Sprint Events - Top Performers
Kennedy Howard, Bradford Prep - Howard dominated the All-State stage, winning both hurdle events to remain undefeated in each. Her 46.78 in the 300m hurdles is an NC MS #1. She also swept the 200m and 400m dashes at the CSAC Championships, putting together one of the most complete weeks in the state all year.
Eric O'Neal, A.G. Cox - O'Neal backed up a strong prelim with a win in the 100m dash final at All-State, running 11.44. It marks his second win in three outings this season as he continues to trend upward heading into high school.
James Durham, Four Oaks - Durham picked up another big win in the 200m dash at All-State, running 23.04 for his fifth victory of the season. He also remained perfect in the long jump, grabbing his eighth win to stay undefeated.

Field Events - Top Performers
Vera Geremia, Higher Power TC - Geremia delivered a huge breakout in the discus, throwing 111-4 to take over NC MS #1 with a 13-foot PR at All-State. She also won the shot put with another personal best, capping off a massive day.
Madison Smith-Burns, Kernersville - Smith-Burns extended her win streak in the shot put to five straight, improving her NC MS #1 to 42-6. She continues to separate herself as one of the top throwers in the state.
Bryson Davidson, A.G. Cox - Davidson became the first middle schooler this season to clear 6-0 in the high jump, winning at All-State with a huge improvement from earlier in the year. He also won the 400m dash and added a runner-up finish in the 200m, displaying his elite versatility.
Distance Events - Top Performers
Cuthbertson Girls 4x800m Relay - Cuthbertson ran 10:13 at All-State, one of the top middle school relay marks of the season. It's a strong sign for the future of an already loaded distance program.
Kyleigh Bryant, Charlotte Panthers - Bryant ran 11:14 to finish 2nd in the 3,200m at All-State, posting the state's second-fastest time this season. The middle school phenom capped off a strong year and has shown she is capable of making an immediate impact at the high school level next season.
Andrew Burns, Covenant - Burns won the 800m at All-State in 2:09, picking up his third win of the season in the event. He also added a 5th-place finish in the 1600m, capping off a promising 8th-grade season.
Eli Sloop, Lewisville - Sloop swept the distance events at All-State, winning both the 1,600m and 3,200m, including a 9:44 showing in the latter. The 8th grader delivered one of the top performances of the meet and continues to show why he could be one of the Tar Heel State's next great distance stars.
