UPDATED! Apex Relays & NCRunners.com Most Wanted . . . North Carolina

After numerous conversations with some of the state’s top distance runners, the question seemed to be, “Is there going to be a fast 1600m this year?” Well, looking through results, it is evident that the Apex Relays is typically a fast 1600m, year in and year out. With the strength of the Triangle Area, it is easy to nab some of the state’s finest each outdoor season. Now, we are hoping to also entice some of the other top athletes in the state to travel and join already stellar competition.

So, with this in mind, Coach Cooper of Apex High School has agreed to extend an invitation to some of the state’s finest.

If you meet the following standards and are interested in competing in the Elite 1600m at the Apex Relays, please contact Coach Cooper at racooper@wcpss.net.  Also, NCRunners.com would love to keep an ongoing list of those interested/are running. Please email me at ben@ncrunners.com if you decide to run. Look for an updated list on this page over the next couple weeks.
