Grace Krafchek (Weddington MS)
Grace Krafcheck was not afraid to push the pace and make it a fast race last Saturday at the NCRunners Middle School XC Festival. She'd lead the first 1.5 Miles of the 2 Mile race before battling with Gabriella Holliday and Jayln Alexander for a narrow 3rd place finish down the homestretch running 11:58. He mark was 49 seconds faster than she ran at the event in 7th grade. She has run 11:16 for 3K earlier this month where she took 3rd at the Union County MS Championships. Krafcheck holds personal bests on the track of 2:23 for 800m, 5:22 for 1600m and 11:44 for the 3200m showing great all-around range from the 800m to cross country!
