Winston-Salem, NC - From 2017-2020 in 3A and now 2022-2024 in 4A, no meet in 2021, the Cuthbertson girls have left JDL Fast Track and the NCHSAA Indoor State Championship with a team title. Yesterday the Cavaliers won their seventh straight team title scoring 58 points over Olympic.

10 Myers Park MPHS 21 The Cavaliers were led by distance stars Charlotte Bell and Justine Preisano. Bell set an NCHSAA State Championship record winning the 1600m in 4:44.75 with Preisano just behind in 4:49.99. Preisano would get the upper hand as they doubled back in a 1-2 finish in the 1000m running 2:54.59 and 2:56.08.
Their 4x800m relay team without Bell or Preisano would take 2nd overall to Marvin Ridge scoring 8 points and would get another strong performance from legs on that relay Josie Schihl and Stella Kermes who would place 4th and 5th respectively in the 3200m. They'd clock seasons best of 10:47 and 10:48.
Faith Koerner would place 7th overall in the Pole Vault clearing 10-6. They'd also add on points as the meet came to a close taking 4th overall in the 4x400m relay running 4:04.40.
