Shawnti Jackson was unstoppable this season. She took her time getting healthy, and it more than paid off this season.
Jackson shattered the high school national record in the 100m (10.89) and broke the North Carolina state record in the 200m (22.70) this season, on top of capturing three individual state championships, a Penn Relays win, a Brooks PR win, a Music City Carnival win, and a NY Grand Prix win.
She is currently a top three prep in the country in all three sprint events. She went undefeated in finals as well, taking home fifteen wins on the outdoor season. Jackson really put in the work to get her fitness where she wanted it to be and it showed, as she set personal bests in all three of her events this season. She ran 10.89 (100m), 22.70 (200m) and 52.13 (400m).
Jackson recently graduated from South Granville and now she ready's herself for a journey south, to the University of Arkansas, where she will join a loaded sprint squad and compete for NCAA glory.
Up next for Jackson, she will be attempting to repeat as the USA U20 100m national champion, and trying to medal once again at the U20 World Championships.
