Mallard Creek Breaks Another Record! This Time in the 4x100m

If you've been following this 2023 outdoor season you are well aware of the dominance Mallard Creek has shown in the sprint relays. After breaking the state record in the 4x200m, not once, but twice this season, they looked to the 4x100m to reset the record book one last time.

The team of Jayden Lee, Benjamin Black, Curtis Clark Mallard Creek and Christian Dixon put on a show for the crowd as they were firing on all cylinders.

Mallard Creek opened up their day with a win in the 4x200m, running away from the field handedly.

They had some down time, and some individual events before taking to the track as a unit for what could be the final time.

They erupted around the track, with each handoff cleaner than the last, before coming around the final curve, and clocking the fastest high school time in state history.

40.87.

Mallard Creek joins Knightdale as the only programs to go under 41.00 in state history.

Their mark is also good for US No. 21 this season.
