At the 2022 Apex Lions' Relays, Cardinal Gibbons' Hannah Rae Shaffer clocked a then-personal best 4:56.81 to win the premier 1,600m. She went on to run 4:51.24 in the event last season, and won the NCHSAA 4A 3,200m state title.
