Two of the most anticipated meets this weekend will be either cancelled or postponed due to rainy weather. The All-American Track Classic in South Carolina has been cancelled for the 2023 season. It was there, Cuthbertson was going to chase the 4x800m relay national record, and Akala Garrett was going to line up for her first 400mH of the season.
The Hillside Hornet Invitational is postponed to April 29th. A loaded sprint field will have to wait, as the likes of Shawnti Jackson, JaMeesia Ford, Dana Wilson, Tianna Spinks, Katelynn Smith, and Bullis (MD) were all scheduled to compete.
The weather hasn't stopped everyone! Cuthbertson hosted a last minute impromptu meet on Thursday, where we saw Charlotte Bell drop a 4:46.34 1,600m and Justine Preisano went 2:12.32 in the 800m.
