The 2023 version of Eastern Indoors is going to offer some of the best indoor track and field action of the season.
With a few days left until registration closes, the meet comes at a time over the campaign when athletes are hitting personal records and hitting ridiculous marks.
This year's installment already features some of the region's best athletes: We have talent coming in from Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and more.
Below, we compiled five of the top athletes set to compete from Feb. 10-11 at the North Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

5. Abdoul Sy-Savane, Parkview/Atlanta Zoom (GA)
Event: 60m, 60mH, 200m

Each season we're greeted with a handful or more of elite performers on the track.
Perhaps this season, Abdoul Sy-Savane has officially entered into that conversation.
The ATL Zoom athlete and Parkview (GA) senior officially made a name for himself last summer when he earned a runner-up finish in the 17-18yo age division of 110mH at the AAU Junior Olympic Games, landing a U.S. No. 12 time of 13.60.
Those big-time results have only continued.
The Georgian is currently ranked U.S. No. 3 in the 60mH with a time of 7.78 seconds. He's one of only three athletes under 7.8 on the season.
But maybe we could expect even more from him here. He's also entered in the 60m and 200m, where he ran 21.62 in the latter event.
4. Claire Stegall, Nolensville (TN)

Few athletes harness as much potential as Stegall, who opened her indoor career at this very event last year and put down a time of 4:55.80 in the mile -- a top 50 performance on the season and the freshman class's No. 3 performance over the indoor campaign.
She did the next season one better.
Stegall clocked a time of 4:42.40 in June at the Music City Track Carnival: It was the No. 15 performance in the country, a No. 5 all-time effort for the freshman class and a new Tennessee state record, surpassing Jenna Hutchins' former time of 4:43.33.
That's some legitimate credentials.
Stegall will return to the place where she opened last year, perhaps hoping for an improvement of that debut in 2022.
3. Samuel Reagan, South Oldham (KY)
Event: Long Jump

Enter the 24-foot long jumper.
Only six athletes in the U.S. have currently logged a mark over 24 feet. Reagan, a high school senior from Crestwood, Kentucky, went 24-3.5 last outdoor season.
He went on to win a Kentucky Class 3A title in the event, too, posting a mark of 23-0.75.
Reagan will open his indoor campaign at Eastern Indoors. Better yet, maybe we could see another 24-foot jump.
2. Ty Garrett, Center Grove (IN)

Garrett had a wonderful cross country season that saw him finish fourth at the Indiana state cross country championships, first at the Mideast XC Championships and eighth at the Garmin RunningLane Championships.
And maybe a sign of his ultimate consistency was this: He averaged 15:31.4 across 10 outings, never running over 16 minutes and hitting a season-best effort of 15:17.20.
Now Garrett has his sights set on the indoor campaign.
He holds an indoor personal best of 4:22.25 in the 1,600m. We have a feeling he'll go after that mark and more at Eastern Indoors.
1. Nia Wilson, Greater Atlanta Christian/ATL Zoom (GA)
Event: 60m, 200m

Wilson is a seasoned veteran at this point.
Having competed on the indoor circuit since her freshman season, she's honed her craft, battled against some of the best and come away with some sterling PRs of 7.50 in the 60m and 24.62 in the 200m.
The former mark, claimed at this very event last year, puts her square as the No. 1 seed. The same will go for the 200m, where she's also ranked at the top of the field.
But pressure shouldn't get to Wilson. A year ago she won the sprint double at the Georgia State Championships, claiming new career bests in the 100m (11.66) and 200m (24.03) in the Class 3A Championships.
Here, Wilson will enter as one of the meet's top athletes. And for good reason.
