Jack Britt (NC) senior JaMeesia Ford has announced her mom commitment to the University of South Carolina to continue her academic and athletic careers.
Ford won the adidas Outdoor Nationals 100m dash and was runner-up in the same event at AAU Outdoor Nationals. In the prelims of adidas, she ran a personal best of 11.50.
The 100m wasn't the only title to come from Ford at adidas Outdoors, she also took home the 200m and 400m wins.
She got her redemption at AAU Outdoor Nationals, and she went on to win the 200m and 400m finals.
At the 2022 NCHSAA 4A state championship, Ford was runner-up in the 100m, 3rd in the 400m, and 7th in the 200m.
She also holds personal bests of 23.43 (200m) and 52.41 (400m).
