Mount Tabor senior and St. Augustine commit Terrell Robinson Jr. threw down a new NCHSAA All-Class meet record of 10.31 (+0.3) in the NCHSAA 4A Finals.

The record breaks Cravont Charleston's (Mallard Creek) wind-legal mark of 10.38 (+1.4) in 2016 as well as the all conditions record by Kadarius Lotharp (Sun Valley) of 10.35 (+3.5) in 2015.

Robinson Jr. came in as the top-ranked 100m athlete in North Carolina coming into the event with a 10.31 (NWI) from the CPC Conference Championships.

He tied Andre Whitaker-Myart (Northern Durham) for the fastest mark in the prelims at 10.67.

Robinson Jr. would come back shortly to anchor Mt. Tabor's 4x200m Relay to a third-place finish in 1:26.65.

Then Robinson Jr. would go on to win the 200m in 21.32 ahead of Nakhi Benjamin (Wakefield) while running into a -1.8 headwind.  We could certainly see Robinson Jr. break into the 20s in the summer if he can get a legal wind behind him.

Robinson Jr. was named the NCHSAA 4A Meet MVP for his sweep of th 100m and 200m to go along with the NCHSAA State Meet Record.  His Mount Tabor team would place 2nd overall to Cuthbertson scoring 51 points.
