Former NC Athletes Important to their teams at NCAA DI Cross Championships

The next former NC high school athlete to cross the line was Lewis Woodard. Lewis ran for Providence Day and now runs for the Tribe of William and Mary. Lewis placed 4th on the team for W&M and finished 53rd overall. Lewis' time of 30:31 and he helped his team to a 5th place team finish.

 

Andy Wacker, formerly of Pinecrest, also had a great day as he placed 3rd for Colorado and finished in 30:37. His Colorado team finished in 6th place overall.

 

Other NC college men:

* Jack Bolas, formerly of Chapel Hill, 6th for Wisonsin in 31:25. Wisconsin was 7th overall.

* Trey Miller, formerly of RJ Reynolds, 5th for Virginia in 31:19. Virginia placed 15th overall.

* Patrick Campbell, formerly of Mooresville, 4th for NC State in 31:35. NC State was 27th overall.

* Andrew North, formerly of Asheville, 5th for NC State in 32:13

 

NC college women:

* Freshman Kimberly Spano of Syracuse saw her first NCAA action today. She placed 4th on her team and ran 21:28. Syracuse placed 18th overall.
