With all the state meets now in the rear view mirrors of North Carolina high school Cross Country runners, the next targets look to be post season races. Here's a compilation of the races that are up next around the state.

Foot Locker South Championships: 11/28/09; Registration can be found on the Foot Locker homepage or here for a direct link.
* Races run at McAlpine Park in Charlotte, NC

* Races begin at 8:00 am with an open race, followed by the HS races, Seeded and by grade, then finally ends with younger age group races - SO anyone can run on this day if they choose too
* VERY CROWDED, expect delays in parking!

* The top 10 individuals in the Seeded races qualify for the National Championships to be held in San Diego, CA on the famous Balboa Park 5k course
NXN Southeast Regional: 11/28/09; Registration can be found here.
* Nike Cross National qualifier held at WakeMed Soccer Complex in Cary, NC
* States taking part in this regional are: DE - MD - VA - NC - SC - GA - FL - AL - TN - KY - WV - DC
* 5 races on the day: Community, boys and girls open, and then the championship girls and boys races
* The top 2 teams/clubs in the championship races as well as the top 5 individuals not associated with one of those 2 clubs will qualify for the National meet held in Portland, OR on Dec. 5th

3200m Tune-Up Races:
Reagan 3200m Tune-Up: 11/13/09; Registration can be done by emailing Coach Catton at csmithcatton@gmail.com
* Right now athletes from NC, SC, and PA are entered
* 3 of the boys NCHSAA state champs along with 3A NCISAA state champ are confirmed entries
* Races will be run in heats at Ronald Reagan HS in Winston-Salem

Foot Locker/NXN Tune-Up: 11/20/09; Registration can be done by emailing John Sullivan at john_sullivan@catawbaschools.net
* Held at Bunker Hill High School on new 8-lane track

Charger Post Season Tune-Up: 11/21/09; Registration can be done by emailing me at ben@ncrunners.com or ben.hovis@providenceday.org
* This is the 4th year for the race at Providence Day School in Charlotte, NC
* The race is open to Middle School and High School athletes looking to run a PR or get ready for Foot Locker
* There is no entry fee for the race
* Races will begin at 3:00 on Saturday and depending on number of athletes there will be separate heats
* Ultimate Frisbee game to follow for those interested!

* Include Name, Male or Female, Grade, accomplishments (for announcements) and projected 2 mile time.
