I've taken the time over the last year to add any and all historic results I could find for North Carolina Track & Field and add them into the MileSplit Database. Much thanks to our friends George Phillips and Brett Honeycutt for preserving a lot of these results on NCPrepTrack or we would not have access to many results and performances before the mid-2000s. Brett also had compiled Mecklenburg County and Rowan County list I was able to add to our database as well! I also tracked down some additional meet results from Newspapers.com or end of season list which would hold the top 5 or 10 performances in each event in a given year.
If you look on team pages and "Team Records" these performances should reflect in those rankings. If you notice any school records missing from your school please send that info to me (jason.creasy11@gmail.com) and I'll get it added to your team page.
I also added every county in North Carolina to our Leagues tab in the rankings in hopes of building an accurate All-Time County list across all three sports. These will hold all schools public or private within each county. Some counties will only have one school reside within it, some counties have over 50 schools within them.
These will only show results that were attached to a school, so an unattached mark or mark under a club would not show. If there are marks like this that you accept as your school record let us know and I'll ensure they reflect as so in our database as long as the season is completed.
Most older results did not have High School graduation years, so we made our best guess with these. If you have any corrections to anything like that please let us know! It'll help us build all-time marks by grade as we continue to add marks to the NCRunners Database!
