North Lincoln senior Jacob Scott was ready to roll Saturday at New Balance Dash For Doobie. In the 12th of 13 heats Scott set the bar for the elite heat. Scott got out to an early lead and did not hold back. Without seeing many of these athletes compete for weeks, if not months, Scott showed that he is an emerging star in North Carolina.
Scott is not done by any means. He said after the race that he wants to run 9:15 in the 3,200m and 4:20 in the 1,600m. With outdoor track officially kicking off in a few weeks there is a lot of time for Scott to get those goals.
