The #23 Team on our list are the Nighthawks of Northern Guilford! Jack DIngman is the senior front runner for this Northern Guilford squad and his resume speaks for itself. He ran a personal best of 4:21 in the 1600m this summer at the Cassandra Lockhart Invitational where he was victorious. Dingman was 4th in the 1600m at the NCHSAA 3A 2020 Indoor State Meet. Dingman also holds a personal best of 9:21 in the 3200m from the 2019 Outdoor season. The All-State runner has a 5000m personal best of 15:24 which is the #6 overall returning time!
Behind Dingman are fellow seniors Ernesto Barrios-Zavala and Mateo De Lisa. They hold personal bests of 16:49 and 16:52, respectively. If those two can keep in contact with each other in races and make their way up towards the lead groups then they can provide that 2-3 punch that will be key to the Nighthawk's success.
Logan Dingman is a rising sophomore and had a stellar freshman campaign. He dipped under 18:00 multiple times and reached as far as 17:38! He managed to break 11:00 in the 3200m during Indoor Season.
Hazen Harvell ran his XC personal best of 17:46 last season at the State Meet, which is by no means a forgiving course. He was ready to breakout in Outdoor Track Season and showed great promise during Indoor Season clocking 10:45 for the 3200m.
Northern Guilford was 3rd in the NCHSAA 3A Mideast Regional and 9th and the NCHSAA 3A State Meet. They come into the 2020 Season as the #24 ranked team in the state overall.
