Elliott Kleckner (Croatan) is the top returner in the 2A divison. He ran a blazing 15:35 last year at Jungle Run, which is a notoriously fast course. There is a bunch of talent right behind him who will be gunning for the 2A title. Tyler Sylvia (First Flight) and Christopher Upton (R-S Central) are the other two returners who have dipped under 16:00. Upton ran 9:48 in the 3200m last year at Dash for Doobie, and Sylvia dropped a 9:50 during indoor season. Both boys are poised for breakout seasons. Walter Sellers (Atkins), Ryker Mattioli (DSA), Miles Phillips (North Lincoln), and Quinn Baker (Carrboro) all went under 16:10 this season so I'm sure they'll be fighting for a Sub 16:00 time this season!
