Jungle Run Tonight!

One of the most talked about meets in North Carolina every year happens tonight at South View High

School.

People love to talk about the Jungle Run course because, yes, it is one of the fastest in the state. People love to say it's short and times mean nothing. However, this is XC, every course is different and it's almost impossible to compare courses. Other people love to talk about the Jungle Run for it's uniqueness, a night race, on a fun, flat course.

With 41 teams in attendance, it's obvious more people see the positives in attending the meet than any sort of negatives. So, the course is fast, who cares! Teams use the Jungle Run to check out much of the East competition. The cream of the crop will still rise, both teams and individuals. Can you look at a 18:30 and 15:30 the same as elsewhere? Maybe not. Can you look at the teams at the top and individuals and realize they have worked hard this summer and may be contenders? Of course.

I love this meet and have been a couple times as a spectator. Take a look at this year's team list.
