Another race that ended in a photo finish saw Alexander Nunley out lean Central Virginia Track and Field's Michael Bourne by one-hundredth of a second to win in 14.18. Bourne came into the finals with the fastest time from the prelims, but could not hold off Nunley at the finish. Leonard Musti of Olympia Track Club crossed the line for third in 14.42.
