What was your greatest moment while competing in high school?
My greatest moment was watching my most deserving team mate win a state title in the 800 meter dash. Training with Kyle Goodman from the beginning of freshman year to the end of my senior year gave me a true idea of the dedication and the determination needed to succeed in the world of track and field. He makes me want to run hard everyday all day.
What is your biggest regret (related to T&F in high school) or what would you have done differently and why?
My biggest regret is not fully committing to the sport early on in high school. I didn't train like I should've, or eat like I could've. I feel like the key to success in track is in your lifestyle on and off the track.
What will you miss the most about HS T&F/XC?
I will miss the JDL the most. All the car trips with Coach Hunter, Kyle, and the rest of our team were the most memorable because whether we left with a win or loss, we always left with a lesson from our coach on how it was necessary for what's to come next in our life.
What is some advice from incoming frosh and rising seniors on your high school team that you would like to share with them?
Every day counts! In pre-season you have to be mentally preparing for championship season. Every workout, every meal, every decision you make will influence the amount of success you achieve. You are more than capable of achieving everything you want, but you have to commit.
What was the hardest workout you did your entire high school career? Did you like it or did you dread it?
I ran 3 repeat 300's over hurdles. It made me a little sore but improved my confidence and trust in my coach, so I would say I loved it.

How did you make track/XC a very individual sport into more of a team sport?
Talks with my teammates made it a team sport. I got in their head. I saw how we were all more alike than different no matter which event we ran. I learned that age really doesn't matter when it comes to the sport, it's experience. So I tried to make sure we all shared our experiences with each other to make for the best outcome in each team mate.
Finally, what are your college plans? Will you be competing in college, where? What do you plan on studying? What do you have as career plans?
I will be attending Howard University for academics as well as athletics. In my freshman year, I will break the 400 meter hurdle record and make the U20 World Team to represent the United States.
