Britton Wilson after VHSL 5A 200 State Championship

Britton Wilson (Mills Godwin, Central Virginia)

Virginia's star sophomore Britton Wilson will make her debut in the 400m Hurdles this weekend.  Wilson ran 53.63 outdoors and 53.25 indoors this year in the 400m Dash and took 7th at the national meet.  Wilson did focus on the open 400 in the postseason this year, but is very strong in the hurdles as well.  She was the second fastest girl in Virginia in the 300m Hurdles this season at 42.20.  We'll see how Wilson fares in the long hurdles as she goes up against three of North Carolina's best including NCHSAA 4A State Champion Jessica Wright (Hillside, Durham Striders), Akira Reddish (Northern Durham, Durham Striders) and Kiana Stotts (Active Athletics).
