About the ratings: We rated the top returning athletes in the state based on top 5000 marks in the country in 2016.  A score of 100 represents the top time in the nation last year.  Please note, all times are included in the ratings regardless of wind or FAT status.  The ratings are strictly based off of 2016 times and do not reflect North Carolina MileSplit's personal ranking of the athletes.

Alessandra Rodriguez (Green Hope) did not race during the indoor season, but has come out in excellent form into the outdoor season.  She anchored the Green Hope girls to a 4x800 victory and doubled by to win the 1600 in 5:13 last weekend at Marvin Ridge!

Watch Andrew Brooks win the Carolina Relays Mile in 4:21.10!

Andrew Brooks (Broughton) likely didn't have the indoor season he'd wished as the 4A Boys 1000 had so many fast times he just missed out on making the fast heat at the state meet.  By no means did he have a bad indoor season, but he's been very impressive during his first two outdoor races.  He's already run 1:56 for 800 and a 4:21 for the full Mile! He sits at NC#1 and NC#2 respectively in the early stages of his outdoor campaign.
