Maya Singletary NC#1 US#18 400 of 56.54
Maya Singletary (Hoke County) took 4th in the Elite Girls 400m Dash at David Oliver Classic running 56.54 taking 4th in the faster of the two sections against strong out of state competition. Singletary also posted a 1:15.74 Friday night in the 500 rankings her NC#2 behind Kyna Robinson of Southeast Raleigh. Singletary and Robinson were the top two returners coming into the season and are both running much faster than they were last indoor season. They are the only two North Carolina girls under 1:16, and will have a highly anticipated match up at the 4A Indoor State Championships in two weekends. Robinson ran a 1:15.97 to take 4th at the Virginia Tech Premier Invitational.
