We saw success from Austin Carroll on the track last season where he emerged indoors for a 3rd place finish in the 1000 at the NCHSAA 3A Indoor State Championships running 2:38. But this XC season in 3 races he has proven himself to be strong on the XC course. At Jungle Run was the big break through were he ran 16:01 for 4th place, then two weeks later at adidas XC Challenge he was able to dip under 16 running 15:58 for 18th place. The NCHSAA 3A East is one of the stronger regions in terms of individuals, and Carroll's success just makes it that much harder. Watch Carroll talk about what kind of runner he thinks he is and some goals he has set for himself this season. We will see Carroll back in action this weekend at Wendy's Invitatoinal
