UCS Invitational Preview

A few of NC's finest athletes decided that the regular indoor season just wasn't enough, so tomorrow they will be competing unattached with the collegians at the UCS Invitational in Winston-Salem. North Carolina will be best represented on the track, as we've got a solid lineup in both the sprint and distance events. Leading the way for the NC high-schoolers will be Anna Cockrell (Providence Day), who will be competing in both the 200m and the 400m Dashes. Cockrell should definitely be able to hold her own against the collegiate competition. Also performing a sprint duo will be Mariah Slade of Salem Academy; Slade will compete in the 200m and the 60m Dashes. Jack Britt's Kenneth Hubbard will compete in the 200m, while D'Andre Hayes (Northwest Guilford) will run the 60m Hurdles and Kenneth Roach will compete in the 60m Dash.

The distance races will also be well represented; Noah Dolhare (Providence Day) and Jennifer Stephenson (Village Christian) will take on the 3000m, and Sophie Ebihara (Cardinal Gibbons) and Kenny Kneisel (Mount Tabor) will run the Mile. Finishing out the run for the distance crew will be Kate Sanborn of Pinecrest in the 800m.
