Team Performances
Out of the dozens of conference meets to take place over the past week, there were numerous remarkable team performances. We've highlighted some of the strongest ones, and now it's up to you to help us decide which team gets bragging rights to being voted top team of the week on NC Runners! Some of the ballot teams are those which you've surely heard of throughout the season, but don't count out those smaller teams! As usual, the polls will close and results will go up on Thursday. Will your team be the top dog?
Individual Performances
North Carolina has a large number of top-notch female distance runners, so there's usually someone for even the strongest runners to compete with. When it comes to conference meets, however, these speedsters get spread out among their regions and may end up in a less competitive conference. Situations like this often see a team's top runner pacing other teammates or just holding a nice tempo. This certainly was not the case this year; this week produced the fastest time in the state thus far and many other great times and PR's to follow.
