Ashley Bethune
Ashley is one of the finer hurdlers in the country. She has signed to compete for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte next year.
Joshua Brunelle
This Green Hope High School Senior record Pole Vault holder has committed to East Carolina University for the fall of 2008. Josh will be joining the ECU Track and Field team and plans on majoring in the Biomedical Engineering program.
Keare Smith
This SE Raleigh athlete is one of the top hurdlers in the country. He and Wayne Davis may be the fastest duo ever to run on the same team - in US history! Keare is headed to Virginia Tech next year on a full scholarship.
Brandy Swann
This Jacksonville senior is coming off of an individual 500m state title at the 1A/2A/3A indoor state champs. Brandy will be taking her middle distance speed to Georgia State University.
Amanda Lapp
This SE Raleigh senior has been a force in the middle distance events for years now. Amanda will be taking her toughness to East Carolina University next year.
Heather Beichner
Heather has helped make Cardinal Gibbons a powerhouse in XC and track. She has signed with The College of William & Mary in Virginia.
Liz Roution
This Millbrook distance runner will travel southeast to compete next year in college. Liz is headed to the University of North Carolina a Wilmington to run for the Seahawks.
Chris Felmet
Eastern Alamance's Chris Felmet will take his hurdling skills to the coast. Chris will be competing for the University of North Carolina at Wilmington next year.
Emily Vasquez
Emily has been one of Leesville Road's top distance runners for the past few years. She will be headed to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro to run next year.
Dusty Kenealy
Dusty has jumped 6-6 for Rockingham County. He has signed to compete for the Seahawks at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington next year.
Kelsey McCorkle
South Central's McCorkle is one of the state's top sprinters. She will be headed to the University of South Carolina next year to compete for the Gamecocks.
Clay Sankey
This Providence Day senior, who helped the Chargers win 3 straight XC state titles, is headed to Elon University next year.
Wyatt Freeman
Providence Day's Wyatt Freeman, who helped lead the Charger's to 3 straight XC state titles, will head towards the coast of South Carolina. Wyatt is signing with the College of Charleston.
Scott Houston
North Carolina's #1 pole vaulter of all time will continue his career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Scott has set numerous records while vaulting for Northwest Guilford.
Anna Gillespie
Anna has been a star at Northwest Guilford for a number of years now. She will continue her career next year at North Carolina State University.
Tara Wilson
This South Caldwell senior who has been near the top of 4A distance running for the last couple years will stay in NC for the next 4 years. Tara is headed to East Carolina University to continue her career.
Madison Tessener
Madison, a senior at Millbrook HS, specializes in the sprints. She will be headed to the College of Charleston next year to continue her track career.
Lindsay Ester
This Hugh H. Williams senior won the 3A XC state title this past year with an impressive kick. She will be headed to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington next year to continue her career.
Jacinda Evans
Jacinda, currently ranked #3 in the US for the indoor long jump, has decided to stay close to home. She is graduating from Southern Durham and will be headed to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to run and jump.
Erin Putnam
Jacksonville's Erin Putnam is leaving the coast and headed for the mountains. She has signed with the University of North Carolina at Asheville, and will run distance for them.
Radiance Basden
This Western Guilford senior will take her track ability down south. She is currently the #5 ranked triple jumper in the US! Radiance is headed to the University of South Carolina.
Demario House
This West Charlotte sprinter plans to continue running at the collegiate level. Demario will be racing next year for Lees-McRae College, the home of the Bobcats.
Shequyra Guy
Shequyra Guy, a West Charlotte sprinter, will join a number of other "Guy" family members and continue athletics in college. She has signed with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Bobby Grier
West Charlotte's Bobby Grier, who boasts a 48.83 400 PR, has signed with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Jasmine Isley
Charlotte Latin's top hurdler, Jasmine Isley, has been competing at a very high level for years. She has multiple NCISAA state championships and has qualified for both indoor and outdoor nationals. She will be heading to Georgia Tech next year to compete for the Yellow Jackets.
Booker Nunley
Booker Nunley of Garner will be signing with the University of South Carolina this week. Booker is one of the top hurdlers in the country this year. He will be joining Johnny Dutch(Clayton-'07), representing NC down in Columbia next year.
Will Taylor
Sun Valley's Will Taylor has decided to stay close to home. He will traveling just up the road to run for the the University of North Carolina at Charlotte next year. Joining a pretty solid group of former NC high schoolers, doing well under Coach Brad Herbster.
Lauren Bishop
Pinecrest's Lauren Bishop, who ran 19:11 at this year's FL South and most recently a PR of 11:29 at the Eastern HS Challenge, will sign on Wednesday. She will be joining a number of the other top distance runners in NC, and heading to North Carolina State University.
Ryan Hill
Hickory's Ryan Hill has had one of the most successful careers in NC history. He has risen to the cream of the crop in the nation and will take his distance running ability to North Carolina State University next year.
Patrick Campbell
Mooresville's Patrick Campbell has had a stellar senior year. He has become one of the top distance runners in the country and was sought after by many of the to Universities. He has chosen to spend his college career at North Carolina State University.
Jenna Paley
Jenna has been one of Providence's top distance girls for the last couple years. She boasts PR's of 19:22 for 5k and 11:48 for the 3200. She will be headed to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro next year.
Doug Onuscheck
This Ravenscoft School high jump specialist has verbally committed to the University of Notre Dame. Doug has cleared 6-6 and just barely missed 6-8 at the Eastern High School Challenge.
TJ Graham
Wakefield's top sprinter and one of the top sprinters in the nation is headed to North Carolina State University. He will be plaing football and possibly, that's right, possibly running track.
Andie Cozzarelli
This Apex HS senior has made a verbal commitment to North Carolina State University and will sign in early February. She speacializes in XC and distance events.
Dylan Ferris
Dylan is one of the nation's top middle distance runners. Last year running 1:49 and 4:08 (mile) during the 2007 outdoor season. Dylan will be signing with Stanford University.
Malai Walker
Malai, Charlotte Latin, has dominated the sprint scene in the NCISAA for a few years now. She has worked with Trenton Guy as well and continues to improve. Malai has decided to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill next year.
Bryce Sherman
Carver's Bryce Sherman verbally committed to the University of South Carolina. Bryce is one of the state's top sprinters and also plans to play football for the Gamecocks.
