Milton High School senior Cross Country & Track & Field athlete Riley Burr has verbally committed to attend Furman University in the fall. She joins Savannah Carnahan (South Forsyth) & Emma Grace Hurley (Fellowship Christian) in this highly talented recruiting class.
Burr (who was 2nd in the 6A classification 1600m & 3rd in the 800m at the 2015 GHSA State T&F Championships in the spring) is coming off a strong 18:42 performance at the Knights Crossing (VA) XC Invitational where she was 6th place & also finished 6th in the recently run Fulton County XC Championships. Burr started the season with a 3rd place finish at the Bob Blastow Early Bird meet in a then personal best.
