As the day went on the rain didn't slow down as we saw a constant drizzle as the meet went on. With the Championship races coming at the end of the day, the course was a little sloppy from the JV, Development, and Invitational race.

Right from the gun Micah Pratt (Patriot Pacers, VA) got out hard and went to the front and attempted to gap the field early on. Miller Meares (NRCA), Hunter Gilbert(Western Alamance), and Benjamin Baxter(Grimsley) tried to keep him in striking distance. David Melville(Northern Guilford), Ian Shanklin(Page), and John Tatter (RJ Reynolds) were right behind as they entered the woods at about a mile into the race. But Pratt had a big day and was able to hold on, and increase his lead as he set a new PR and won in 15:42.
